About

Reiki. I was first introduced to reiki in 2019 when I experienced a flare up of a health issue I’d struggled with on and off for years. I have always trusted in western medicine, but with a life-changing surgery on the table, I had to try everything. This led me to reiki. Though I was open to seeking a nontraditional form of healing, like most people I was skeptical. After one reiki session, I noticed results and had no choice but to believe in the powers of reiki. After a few years of being in remission, with surgery completely off the table, reiki continued to call me, so I obtained a certification through my reiki healer. I have since completed my level II certification and have gained experience through work with private clients, leading group meditation and reiki classes, hosting workshops, and as a volunteer at NYU’s Cancer Center.

Roam. I was fortunate enough to start traveling abroad when I was 19. After my first trip abroad, I became a self-proclaimed adventure seeker, travel junkie, and street dog enthusiast. Traveling makes me feel more alive than anything in the world. Connecting with others from different countries, learning about their culture, their food, their faith, their traditions, their nature, their everything…that’s what lights me up! Traveling opened my eyes to energy, spirituality, and an overall curiosity. Travel and personal history ignited my path towards social work and a desire to help others who face adversity. The things I’ve learned through my travels also inform my practices.

Resilience. My full-time job is in medical social work where I provide emotional and practical support to pediatric patients and families undergoing the heart transplant process. Through this work I’ve learned that personal experience with something painful (physical or emotional) is not something that can be truly grasped by others through explanation, it has to be felt. This is extremely isolating and has motivated me in my field. My work with this population has helped me grow my clinical skills in crisis intervention, trauma-informed counseling, grief and loss therapy, stress and anxiety reduction techniques, meditation, mindfulness, and more.

Reiki. Roam. Resilience.

These three platforms may seem unrelated, but they are very much intertwined. They all have paths that led me to the other and they all lead toward the same goal, and when used together, results can be magical.
